Martine’s Approach / Clinical focus
Martine Parent came from the East coast for school and decided to stay in the beautiful city of Ottawa for her career. As a bilingual provider offering psychotherapy and counselling, she encourages mental, emotional and physical well-being in every aspect of life with a focus on diverse sport-related experiences.
Her holistic approach is based on providing practical coping strategies to improve emotional wellness, strengthen resilience, and guide individuals to achieve overall health and to unlock their full potential towards self-growth.
Using a short-term / solution-focus model, she looks at the individual and the whole human experience. Her focuses one emotional resilience, CBT, mindfulness, mental skills, performance enhancement, stress / anxiety management, recovery from injury and rehabilitation, emotional management and positive personal development.
Martine Parent also delivers various workshops on the topics of mental performance, mental health, and sport psychology.

Outside of Work
Martine loves animals and outdoors activities. She is also a sports enthusiast, enjoying ice hockey, cycling, running, yoga. She loves to mess with recipes and cook healthy meals for friends and family members.
