Haythem Ayouub - Osteopathic Manual Practitioner - Complete Wellbeing

Haythem Ayoub has always been fascinated by the human body. Having had major surgery at the age of 8, he discovered osteopathy when seeking relief from his own pain. This has brought him a deep compassion for the suffering of others.

He uses his knowledge of personal training, nutrition and osteopathy to provide gentle, effective treatments to his clients.

Haythem Ayoub’s Journey

Haythem was born in Khartoum, Sudan. He came to Ottawa, Canada with his family at the age of 7yrs to receive treatment for his serious heart condition.

Following a 7-hour open heart surgery and an extended period of bed rest, he was left weak and unable to perform many everyday tasks.

The rigorous physiotherapy required post-surgery inspired him to become a health practitioner. He knew he wanted to help others recover from injuries, surgeries, or any sort of dysfunction, and to give others a second chance.

Haythem Ayoub has always had a strong interest in science, primarily biology. He was amazed about how complex the human body is, and how all of the different organ systems come together and create life.

In Grade 12 he was enrolled in exercise science focusing on anatomy, physiology, nutrition and other subjects of interest to him. His teacher saw his passion for the subject and recommended that he pursue a career that involved the human body.

This led him to a joint program in Health and Fitness Promotion at the Durham College and in Kinesiology at the Ontario Tech University.

Haythem Ayoub and Osteopathy

During his studies, Haythem was experiencing increasing lower back pain, neck pain and lots of headaches.

He saw a Chiropractor and Massage Therapist which brought him some relief. It was the Massage Therapist who recommended he see an Osteopath.

In the initial visit, the osteopath told him that his back and neck pain was coming from his feet and also his hips because they weren’t aligned correctly. Haythem saw major changes after each session and was grateful that he could focus on his studies without feeling any pain or discomfort.

Haythem really wanted to understand how his feet and hips were the main cause of his back and neck pain. He went back to the osteopath and started asking as many questions as possible, to try and understand what osteopathy is, how it can help other people, and what’s the philosophy behind Manual Osteopathy.

The osteopathic approach resonated with him and he enrolled at the National Academy of Osteopathy in Toronto.
